“InnoGP Technologies Private Limited” a Technology Start-up to provide innovative Design & Technology solutions to Defence Industries in India has been incorporated by Dr. S.Guruprasad, a Former Distinguished Scientist and Director General of DRDO. The company’s main objective is to provide advanced Design & Analysis solutions and would work from Concept to Induction of Defence Engineering Systems.
InnoGP Technologies will synergise Research, Technology & Product development efforts with focus on Innovation. The Start-up would also provide Engineering Simulation services of multi-domain complex Engineering Systems to Industries.
InnoGP Technologies would work on Unmanned Battlefield Systems covering Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Surface and Sub-Surface Sea Systems. The company would also be engaged in development of Military Bridging Systems, Fibre Reinforced Composite Structures, and Weapon Launch systems and many other products that are part of 108 items that DRDO has announced that would be pursued by Industry.
An Innovative Design of an Advanced Truss Bridge (ATB) which is 50% lighter and more efficient than the Bailey Bridge has been designed and a patent application has already been filed by Dr. Guruprasad. The second world war era Bailey Bridge is the main logistics support bridge till now in India as well as in many countries. The ATB would be extremely useful in higher altitudes and mountainous regions. The ATB also would have tremendous applications as temporary flyovers, Pedestrian footbridges, and other modular structures. The ATB has tremendous export potential also.
Dr. S.Guruprasad did B.E. from Mysore University, M.E, from Bangalore University and Ph.D from IIT Bombay. He retired from DRDO as Director General Production Coordination and Services Interactions and earlier was Director R&DE(Engineers), Pune. He was also Project Director Brahmos for Launchers and Ground Systems. He has 30 patents to his credit and number of research publications in international journals.
